These bobbles feature the Eiffel Tower which is one of the most recognizable monuments in the world. The iron-lattice creation, named after engineer Gustave Eiffel, served as the centerpiece for the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris. Its completion also marked the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. Standing 1,083 feet tall, the Eiffel Tower was the record-holder for the tallest man-made structure in the world for 41 years. Initially criticized by France’s leading artists and intellectuals for its design, the Eiffel Tower now receives nearly seven million visitors a year. An estimated 300 million tourists have been to the tower since its celebrated opening.
